Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Malvi app (“Malvi”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. We built Malvi to be private by design: you don't create an account, and the personal details you enter stay on your device. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information you provide

During onboarding you may optionally enter details such as first names or nicknames, your relationship start date, relationship status, and relationship goals. This information is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience (for example, to show your names in questions or count your days together). We do not upload or store these details on our servers, and we do not require an account or login.

2. Analytics and usage data

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we use third-party analytics services (Amplitude and Google Firebase Analytics). These collect anonymized, aggregate usage events — for example, which screens are opened or which features are used — together with basic technical data such as device type, unique device identifiers, operating system version, app version, and general country/region. We do not send your names, relationship date, or personal answers to these services.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (for example, whether Premium is active). To measure the effectiveness of our advertising, we may use Apple's on-device attribution (the AdServices framework) and share limited device identifiers with RevenueCat and Apple for attribution purposes.

4. Advertising attribution

If you install Malvi after tapping an Apple Search Ads ad, Apple provides us with campaign-level attribution data so we can measure ad performance. This uses Apple's privacy-preserving frameworks and does not identify you personally.

5. How we use information

6. Data retention and deletion

The details you enter live on your device and are removed when you delete the app or reset your data in Settings. Aggregate analytics data is retained by our analytics providers according to their own retention policies. To request deletion of any data associated with you, contact us at the address below.

7. Third-party services

We rely on the following providers, each with its own privacy policy: Apple (App Store, purchases, attribution), RevenueCat (subscription management), Amplitude (product analytics), and Google Firebase (analytics). We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle data.

8. Legal disclosures

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation or a valid request by a public authority; protect and defend our rights or property; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the app; or protect the personal safety of users or the public. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will provide notice before any such transfer becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. However, because most of your personal data never leaves your device, the primary safeguard is that it is not transmitted to us at all. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

Malvi is operated from Ukraine. Any aggregate analytics or subscription data processed by our service providers may be handled in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. By using the app you consent to such processing, carried out in accordance with this policy.

11. Children

Malvi is intended for adults and is rated 17+. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since most data stays on your device, you can exercise many of these rights directly (by editing or resetting your data in the app, or deleting the app). For anything else, contact us.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice within the app.
